Back To The Winning Ways!

With 12 minutes remaining, another hugely unfortunate goal conceded had Chelsea staring at five games without a win. But then Frank Lampard slammed in a penalty and all was right with the world again.
A mostly steady but never spectacular performance produced a Nicolas Anelka goal in the first half and Carlo Ancelotti's side were rolling on to three points without much threat on Petr Cech's goal
The two minor dissapointments would probably be that I cannot watch the match and we could not maintain a clean sheet. Despite without Didier, Nicolas could score and WILL score when his goal is needed the most. Not, without a spectacular welcome-back-assist from Alex. The big Brazilian found himself out on the right, chasing the ball towards the corner and when he rescued it, rather than cross, he bundled past a challenge and strode into the area. When the pass came it deflected off Wilson and fell for Nicolas to finish inside the near post
It is just unfortunate that the goal was equalised shortly after the start of the second half.
But then on 77 minutes, Chelsea luck changed. A badly-directed pass hit Nic and fell just right for Ivanovic to charge into the area where he was felled by Wilson's sliding challenge.
The pressure was on Frank big time but he is firmly back in the penalty-taking groove - smashing his spot-kick high into the net.
Frank taking the penalty after the Manchester City miss, together with the crowd singing "We Got Petr Cech" shows the manager and the fans are clearly behind them
We are not invincible, but we can win everything!
