Wayne Rooney's Saga

That is what you would look at if you would like to know the definition of U turn. Mr. Rooney says he's gonna leave the club. The manager says he's going to leave the club. 24 hours later, he signed a new contract. You get my drift? There are so many theories and reactions to what had happened.

Mr Rooney thinks he has to leave because Man United is not ambitious enough. Some thinks its simply because of his private life which now causes a bitter war between himself and the media. In England, it is very unlikely a player would get an edge when it comes to war with the media. Some thinks its because of money. Some thinks because he wants to seek some newer pastures.

For me, its total bullshit. This guy is overated. Only Man City would offer him some big packet wages. No other teams are likely to offer him any more than what he is earning now. I'm not a big fan of United but I believe United at least deserve more than him. He has really got no shame, just look at how he twist his words. 720 degrees in 24 hours. The club is unfortunate to be held ransom by him

Back To The Winning Ways!

Image: chelseafc.com

With 12 minutes remaining, another hugely unfortunate goal conceded had Chelsea staring at five games without a win. But then Frank Lampard slammed in a penalty and all was right with the world again.

A mostly steady but never spectacular performance produced a Nicolas Anelka goal in the first half and Carlo Ancelotti's side were rolling on to three points without much threat on Petr Cech's goal

The two minor dissapointments would probably be that I cannot watch the match and we could not maintain a clean sheet. Despite without Didier, Nicolas could score and WILL score when his goal is needed the most. Not, without a spectacular welcome-back-assist from Alex. The big Brazilian found himself out on the right, chasing the ball towards the corner and when he rescued it, rather than cross, he bundled past a challenge and strode into the area. When the pass came it deflected off Wilson and fell for Nicolas to finish inside the near post

It is just unfortunate that the goal was equalised shortly after the start of the second half.

But then on 77 minutes, Chelsea luck changed. A badly-directed pass hit Nic and fell just right for Ivanovic to charge into the area where he was felled by Wilson's sliding challenge.
The pressure was on Frank big time but he is firmly back in the penalty-taking groove - smashing his spot-kick high into the net.

Frank taking the penalty after the Manchester City miss, together with the crowd singing "We Got Petr Cech" shows the manager and the fans are clearly behind them

We are not invincible, but we can win everything!

Didier Drogba Double Destroys Arsenal

The Gunners were torn apart...

Chelsea proved exactly why they are considered the favourites for the title this season as they maintained their impressive recent record against Arsenal to claim a 2-0 win in the Premier League this evening.

Carlo Ancelotti's Blues poured on the misery for an Arsenal side that have only managed two wins from the last 15 encounters between the two London rivals as a Didier Drogba strike and an own goal from Thomas Vermaelen settled the match at the Emirates Stadium.
In a meeting between the Premier League's strongest attack and meanest defence, Arsenal had been on the front foot during the opening exchanges and had been taking the game to their west London counterparts.

It was Chelsea, however, who were presented with the first chance of the match after 18 minutes as Frank Lampard, passed fit to play despite concerns over a thigh injury, put Nicolas Anelka into the clear but Bacary Sagna tracked back to get in the vital challenge just as his international compatriot was about to pick his spot. There were suspicions that Sagna had hauled Anelka to the ground in the process of making the crucial tackle although none of the Chelsea players appeared to appeal for the penalty as Lampard fired wide from the follow-up. It would take 24 minutes before Arsenal created their first real opening as Samir Nasri drove forward before hitting a low shot from just outside the box. It was a decent effort from the 22-year-old but a lack of real power ensured Petr Cech made a comfortable save.

Despite a distinct lack of genuine efforts on goal, Chelsea grabbed the initiative when Drogba scored the opening goal of the game to continue his imperious record against Arsene Wenger’s side. A smart finish into the net via crossbar and post made it nine in his last nine outings against the Gunners following good work down the left from Ashley Cole.Just two minutes later and the Blues had opened up a two goal lead as the unfortunate Vermaelen put through his own net. Ex-Gunner Cole was again the provider as his accurate cross was delivered into a really dangerous area and the Belgian international, undoubtedly worried by Drogba’s presence in the box, diverted the ball past Manuel Alumnia for 2-0 Chelsea.

Wenger made the decision to bring on Theo Walcott at half-time in an attempt to inject a bit of pace into his side and Arsenal were a little unlucky not to have reduced the arrears almost immediately after the break when Andrei Arshavin had a goal chalked off after an alleged foul by Eduardo on Cech. The Czech Republic goalkeeper had initially saved well at the feet of Eduardo although as Cesc Fabregas played the ball back into the area, the Croatian forward was adjudged by referee Andre Marriner to have kicked the ball from Cech’s grasp before Arshavin slammed the ball into the net past a ruckus of Chelsea players on the line.

Chelsea nearly increased their lead with what would have proved a somewhat fortuitous goal on 64 minutes. Drogba got the ball onto his right foot before shooting from just outside the box although the former Marseille star’s effort was deflected first off William Gallas and then off Lampard’s chest to force Almunia into a smart save low down to his right.
Arsenal continued to press and probe for a way back into the match although Chelsea effectively put the game to bed with a terrific free-kick from Drogba.

The 31-year-old claimed his second of the match on 86 minutes as he dispatched a stunning strike into the corner of the net from around 25-yards out to increase Chelsea's lead at the top of the Premier League to five points ahead of Manchester United in second place.

Terry-fying the Devils

John Terry scores and send us top of the league, well, as if we are not on top already. Well, as usual Man U sends a group of divers to play instead of a group of footballers, which is why they can't win. After so many injuries they just don't learn the simple rule - Diving on land hurts you

The match is one sided in 2 ways. One, Chelsea is controlling the game. Two, the referee seems to be a Man U fan. I really can't imagine why the second half flying kick from Jonny Evans to Drogba goes unanswered. There's no booking and ther is no card! Well, there is one for Drogba! I switch on my WTF look immediately

But one good thing is, the referee learns. When the injury time is 5 minutes, the whistle is blew exactly after 5 minutes instead of 8 million minutes after

In short, Chelsea is nothing less than impressive while all I can say is Man U Suck

Blues Riding Wave That Threatens To Blow Atletico Madrid Aside

Two weeks ago, many wondered if Carlo Ancelotti's Chelsea side were fatally flawed. Now, some are wondering if they have any flaws at all.Defeat to Aston Villa, with both goals coming from set pieces, unleashed the hounds. But the subsequent four games have seen four wins, with not a goal conceded and money put away at the other end.

Victory at Bolton on Saturday, with a 4-0 scoreline that included a team goal of sumptuous quality that was slotted home by Didier Drogba, dispelled the notion many had (or hoped) that the Blues were poor travellers. From the brink of catastrophe then, Chelsea are now riding the crest of a wave - with a momentum that looks difficult to stop. Just the Champions League challenge of Atletico Madrid stands in the way of the Blues preparing for their match against Manchester United in the best possible form.

Their fortunes are in stark contrast to those of title rivals Liverpool. Ancelotti is not a mean man, and will take little pleasure in observing Rafa Benitez's current troubles. But the Italian will note the Reds' recent travails and be thankful that he has inherited a squad of far stronger depth, and in far greater health. After all, when it is going for you, it really is going for you.

Four wins, 17 goals scored and none conceded in the last week - few could ask for much more

They Finally Did It!

..... but only after getting away from some divers such as Berbatov, Evra and etc. I must say new signings such as Owen and Valencia kinda learned the Man Utd 'culture' very fast. Lets not comment on that.

Chelsea played fantastic football especially in the second half. The first half, I think the biggest mistake would probably from Petr Cech, which in turn make Nani's strike look more inpressive than it should actually be. And playing Essien as a winger really doesn't seem to be a very good idea. On the second goal, Man U as usual, wanna feign injury again from Ballack's tackle to deny the goal. Come on, there's no bloody whistle.

As Lampard goes, “The rules are as a player whenever the referee stops it, he stops it so that’s what we did. I’m sure Manchester United would have done the same.”

The great thing about Chris Foy, Patrice Evra and Michael Ballack is that their triangle of love played no direct part in the end result. Chelsea still won, but fair and square, with no controversy - just the way they would have wanted it. And the great thing is, they have finally have their revenge for 2007 Community Shield and also the Moscow Final.

Lastly, I'm glad that Pirlo ain't coming to Chelsea. We seriously don't need a squad of AC Milan under the cover name Chelsea. Plus the rumor that Essien will be traded for Pirlo is just silly and plain bad business.

Well done!

Frank Lampard Pledges The Rest Of His Career To Chelsea

The heartbeat of the Blues' midfield has reaffirmed his affinity with the Pensioners, hinting that he hopes to finish his career with the club...

Frank Lampard has come out pledging his allegiance to Chelsea, hoping that he can finish his career at Stamford Bridge. He has also confessed that he would love to manage the London club one day.

"I’m a Chelsea lifer now," Lampard exclaimed to The Times."With the news about John Terry staying, we’ve both been here a long time and I’d like to keep it that way."The 31-year-old believes that Terry and himself are the backbone of the Blues, and maintains that due to the frequent reshuffling that takes place on the bench with respect to players as well as managers, staying put with the club will only add to its stability."

In the [Roman] Abramovich era there have always been players coming and going, so it’s good if we can keep that backbone," he remarked."With the frequent changes of manager, maybe they need us for that."Lampard arrived from rivals West Ham United in 2001 and has since made over 300 appearances in a Chelsea jersey.

He has even stated that he would like to continue his affiliation with the club once his playing days are over. "I'd love to manage Chelsea one day," he beamed."It's a bit of a dream as I've got such a strong affiliation to the club but John might beat me to it."

Terry: Totally Committed

John Terry had realeased the following statement today

'There has been a lot of speculation recently about my future and I want to clear this up once and for all. Iam totally committed to Chelsea and always have been. Chelsea had also made it clear to me consistently that there was never any intention of accepting any kind of offer'

'When you are linked with a club, or a manager who I have huge respect for, it will always make headlines but me leaving Chelsea was never a possibility'

'I know there are comments that I should have made a statement earlier. However, thoughout this period, there have been numerous discussions between myself, the owner and the Chelsea Board and we all agreed that the timing of any statement would suit everyone involved in those talks, not any outside influences or agendas'

'What is clear to me following those discussions is that Chelsea's ambition remain as high as ever. This has been proven with the appointment of Carlo Ancelotti. I am certain that he will take this club on to the next level'

'Another important factor was knowing that Chelsea would be securing key current players for the long term. The strengthening of the squad around this core is crucial to pushing us onto greater success'

'I am committed as ever to helping drive Chelsea forward and I will be proud to lead the team for as long as I can'

Zhirkov's Debut Goal Sees Chelsea Past Milan

Yuri Zhirkov scored the winner on his debut, as Chelsea ran out 2-1 winners over Milan

It was all Chelsea in the early stages, and it was no surprise when the goal came after just six minutes, and it was worth the price of entry. Picking the ball up more than 30 yards out, Didier Drogba unleashed an unstoppable shot that went flying into the top right hand corner, leaving Kalac with no chance.

On 37 minutes, just when the match was looking for some inspiration after a brief lull, it was provided by Seedorf. Ronaldinho laid the ball up for him just outside the box, and he unleashed an strike to match Drogba's earlier effort, as Cech helplessly watched the ball sail into the top-right hand corner

With twenty minutes remaining, Chelsea took the lead once more. Shevchenko cut in from the left and saw his shot saved, while Lampard's rebound was also blocked. However, the ball came out to Zhirkov, who fired a low strike in at the near post

Just when it seemed as though the game was petering out to its inevitable conclusion, Inzaghi got a trademark header in from the six yard box, which was spectacularly tipped over by Cech. Onyewu then headed wide from a late cross, as Chelsea hung on to claim the victory

Hail Zhirkov!!

Money Could not Tempt John Terry

City are reportedly set to offer Chelsea £35 million for the defender, and pay him well over £200,000 a week, and Hollins feels the temptation of such a huge offer might well be difficult to resist.

I think not. The Blues had some backbone. Chelsea won't be selling him for the collection of some Arabic wraps. They gotta be kidding me. What can he win if he go to Manchester City? Only money minded people like Robinho, Tevez and Gareth Barry can be tempted with money

Welcome Sturridge!

Daniel Sturridge became the first Chelsea signing this season. Its lucky to have him as many of the other signings seems to face some stumbling block: Alonso, Tevez, Ribery and Johnson alike. Here is a little about Daniel Sturridge

Daniel Andre Sturridge, better known as Daniel Sturridge, was born on September 1, 1989 in Birmingham, England. He studied at the Friary School in Lichfield following which, he attended Congleton High School. Football was not new to him as his cousins, Chris Packer and Hayley Packer, played football. He is also the nephew of Dean Sturridge, former Derby County Football Club (F.C.) forward, and Simon Sturridge, ex-Birmingham City player.

Daniel Sturridge was a part of the England national under-17 football team, and has scored in several matches, including the finals against Italy at the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) European Under-17 Championship. He made a total of 5 goals in his six appearances for the team. On March 27, 2007, Daniel Sturridge scored twice for England's Under-18 side against Holland at Huish Park, Yeovil and escalated to the England national under-19 football team in 2008 and has played 3 matches and scored a goal for it as of August 2008.

Daniel Sturridge started his career in football at Aston Villa and in 2002, at the age of 12, he switched to Coventry City F.C. as a youth player. When he was 13, he was sponsored by the German sports apparel manufacturer Adidas. He stayed with Coventry for 14 months and later joined the youth club of Manchester City in 2003 and continued there for three seasons. His stunning performance in the Football Association (FA) Cup attracted the interest of many clubs, such as, Chelsea F.C.

In September 2006 Daniel Sturridge became a part of Manchester City’s senior team by signing a three-year contract. His first team and FA Premier League début for the team came on February 3, 2007, when he came in as a substitute in the 74th minute in a match against Reading at the City of Manchester Stadium. With this Daniel Sturridge became the youngest player to make a first-team appearance in the Premiership in 2007. He netted his first goal, a brilliant volley, for Manchester City on January 27, 2008 on his FA Cup debut in the 4th round match against Sheffield United at Bramall Lane. His first goal in the Premiership came on January 30, 2008 in a clash against Derby County, and he went to become the youngest player in Europe to score that day.

On February 13, 2008, his brace contributed to a 4-2 victory for Manchester City over Bristol City at the FA Youth Cup 5th round. Daniel Sturridge not only led the Blues to the Youth Cup Title but also finished as the leading goal scorer of the competition with 7 goals in 6 games.

Daniel Sturridge is the only player to score in the Youth Cup final, the FA Cup, and the Premier league in the same season. At 14, he also became the leading goal scorer and was voted the most valuable player (MVP) at the prestigious U15 Nike Cup. This striker was named as the 'Next Big Thing' in British football by Match magazine’s in its ‘Annual 2007’, becoming the second player to bag this title, behind Theo Walcott, former England Youths strike partner

My belated congratulations to Chelsea FC which mark one of the most iconic victory ever. Just in 25 seconds Saha lead Everton 1-0. However, the player always react and they reacted again. Didier equalised immeditately before the first half whistle. A perfect left foot from Frank sealed our victory against Everton

This also mark the perfect send off to Guus Hiddink who took over as interin coach. He only lose once in the 22 games he is in charge. Again, thanks Guus for all the excitement you bring to all the fans and once again, well done Chelsea!

Goodbye Guus

Guus Hiddink ended his final game in the Bridge with a win over Blackburn Rovers. When he came up to take the role of manager, we see the team in a very demoralizing manner. He single handedly change the team into such a great force. He kept winning, winning and winning. Thanks Guus for giving the Chelsea fans such great games!

Injustice Served

After a controversial exit from the Champions League we managed to pull it off. Not only me as a Chelsea fan, but the world knows we are out of the Champion's League because of the poor performance of Tom Henning. There's only two referees in this world which I think is an idiot one being Mike Riley, the other him. Both of the them had the similar look. One, both are bald which look so much like a villain in Spiderman called The Vulture. Secondly, they give rise to the feeling that everyone would be willing to place a few punches squarely in the face.

Players and the coach are in the same mind as the fans. Injustice. I seriously don't think it Didier and Michael should be punish for showing their emotions. Come on, they're robbed off their chance to be in the grandest tournament of football. Plus personally, The Vulture has robbed them the chance to go against Man Utd for the defeat last season in Moscow.

And here come the Arsenal game. Arsenal met a more disastrous defeat and arguably like us, is filled with disappointment. The team first to get back to their feet would prove to be the one who wants to win more. And Chelsea made it with a 4-1 win courtesy of Alex, Anelka and Malouda.

As Hiddink says, he's equally pissed but he controlled. He know the players will get back to their feet and reacted positively. (: Hopefully Arsenal would not be stupid enough to call Chelsea a boring team again. I take it personally

Now we look back to our own country as Nizar vs Zamry will be decided today. May justice be served again

Wake Up Almunia

Almunia, get your facts right first before claiming how bad Chelsea is the newspaper. Think carefully who's the side got beaten by Chelsea in FA Cup semi finals? Who's the one got beaten up by Man Utd? I don;t think Arsenal's surviving the second leg seriously

Lets Flood The Red Stadium With A Sea of Blue!!!

Two headers by Branislav Ivanović and a clinical finish by Didier Drogba brought Chelsea FC to the verge of the UEFA Champions League semi-finals as they ended their barren run of European visits to Liverpool FC. Its a very memorable night especialy for Ivanovic who had never scored a Chelsea goal before. At the start of the match I was still thinking why are they not using Ricardo Carvalho or Juliano Beletti instead of Ivanovic for the defender job. He had always been the underdog and he turned hero suddenly this morning! With two goals scored at the exact spot and method.

Chelsea had only a John Arne Riise own goal to show for the previous four recent UEFA Champions League trips to Anfield but Serbian defender Ivanović, who had never previously scored for Chelsea, found the net from two corners (first from Malouda, second from Lampard) either side of the break, while Drogba neatly tucked the third in from four metres out.

From my perspective is that no one pay attention on him simply because they never would have thought he'll score. And score twice!! And those reds rather keep their focus on big guns like Lampard, Drogba and Ballack. The only casualty at the night would probably be John Terry missing next game. But it make little difference now.

All can be done would probably be focussing on preventing Liverpool from scoring in Stamford Bridge. For now, its no longer flooding the red stadium with a sea of blue but DROWNING THE REDS IN THE STADIUM OF BLUE!! (:

Didn't make it

Everyone, would have probably thought Aston Villa will screw Manchester for the third game in a row. But it was just a little too bad with the score ended with 3-2
