Master Grade MS 05B Zaku I

The MS 05 Zaku I is not exactly easily found in market. I got mine from a friend for only RM 85 which of course is a clear cut good bargain. It is much better than the other 2 (Matsunaga's, Black 3 Stars and Ramba Ral)

Well, no one will expect a glossy Zaku from me and I simply have it coloured into the very 'typical Aaron Style' and have it weathered a bit. Its an old suit so the flexibility is not so good. And there are lots of seam lines which one might want to hide it. The right shoulder is a little empty so I made a shoulder shield for it from some scraps. Overall its not too bad. And FYI, there isn't much space for heavy decals of course

Master Grade RX-77 Guncannon

Its been a long time since I actually blog about a model because I'm really busy as there are many things to be done such as moot, legal attachment presentation, games etc etc. But I've been working on this model for a very long time. Not because there's much to be done but its simply being put aside

Guncannon is really cool, cheap and easy to make. Plus, its really stable and not much decal is required. If one noticed, there were minimum amount of decals on this suit which is very unlike my usual preference of applying many. Main factor is because I'm pretty broke at this moment. Turns out, with some decent colouring, it turns out to be great. Flat coat is of course necessary

The only catch to this suit would probably be the inflexibility of the waist as the body is hollow. Its hiding a core fighter as its inner frame, hence, not much can be said about the flexibility. However, it is still a fantastic to play with. Along with the celebration of the 30th anniversary of Gundam, Bandai is re-producing the Guncannon. So its a good start. Meanwhile, if one really wish to decal it, there are different sets of decal to choose from; Kai Shiden or Hayato Kobayashi

Taishi Ci

After this accomplishment and the subsequent suppression of the Yellow Turban Rebellion, Taishi Ci returned south to the Jiangdong District and offered his services to Liu Yao, a capable warlord born and raised in the same village as Taishi Ci himself. During his service under Liu Yao, Sun Ce was rapidly expanding his forces and reclaiming lands he perceived as the rightful property of the Sun family. Sun Ce had been successful, due to the fact that he had earlier traded the Imperial Seal in his possession to the wealthy and powerful Han noble, Yuan Shu, in exchange for several thousand of his troops. Alongside his father's already impressive army, Sun Ce and his childhood friend Zhou Yu invaded the lands of Wu, which were under the protection and rule of Liu Yao at the time. Sun Ce had gained a tremendous advantage through the capture of a local city which he could now use to rally and support his army. Unfortunately, Liu Yao was not a good military commander. When Sun Ce attacked him, many his advisors suggested to him that he should name Taishi Ci as the commander-in-chief of his force to defend themselves against Sun Ce, but Liu Yao refused, fearing that giving Taishi Ci the command would tarnish his reputation, since Taishi Ci was once a criminal. Taishi Ci was instead tasked to guard the army's baggage. One day, Taishi Ci came across Sun Ce in Shenting, but the two duelled to a standstill. As Sun Ce's officers rode to his assistance, Taishi Ci was forced into a hasty retreat. Sun Ce had been impressed with Taishi Ci abilities and held him in good stead, noting him as one of very few men of honour in a chaotic and treacherous period

Taishi Ci later was forced to break allegiance with Liu Yao after they fled their separate ways, with Liu Yao fleeing to Yuzhang and Taishi Ci to Wuhu, resulting from Liu Yao's refusal to heed Taishi Ci's strategic advice and was subsequently overrun. Taishi Ci established a guerrilla base in the mountains and earned support of many locals, and from 195 to 198, Taishi Ci waged war against Sun Ce and eventually expanded to include the region of Dangyang, a position of strategic military importance since the time of Sun Tzu, where he proclaimed himself Administrator, with supporters ranging from the ordinary civilians to high ranking local officials. Taishi Ci had become too much of a threat after defeating Yan Baihu, Sun Ce targeted Taishi Ci instead of Liu Yao. Taishi Ci's remnant forces were quickly besieged by Sun Ce's army at Jin County and were consequently overrun and captured

Taishi Ci was tied up and brought before Sun Ce, where Sun Ce, recalling their encounter at Shenting, immediately unbound him. Sun Ce persuaded Taishi Ci to join him, saying that his talents were unrecognized by his previous masters; Sun Ce even said that Taishi Ci was a dragon among people and to fly to the sky the dragon must have a good base, and Sun Ce himself was very honored to be that base. Although initially hesitant, Taishi Ci eventually succumbed to Sun Ce's requests, accepting highly ranked positions within Sun Ce's army. He asked Sun Ce to let him go for a day to collect his remnant troops to pacify the area, and Sun Ce agreed. Answering the suspicion from his advisors, Sun Ce retorted, "Taishi Ziyi is a famed man of Qing province, bound by honour, he will not lie to me", and indeed, Taishi Ci came back the next day. He was appointed as Commander Under the Gate and General of the Household

Taishi Ci remained a loyal and staunch supporter of the Sun family for the rest of his life, feeling an obligation towards Sun Ce for placing such confidence in his abilities. Taishi Ci came to be well reputed amongst his troops and fellow officers and was held in high regard by Sun Quan, younger brother of Sun Ce. During his service under Sun Ce, Sun Ce gave him three important tasks which he completed successfully

The first was to visit the remnant of forces of the recently deceased Liu Yao, informing them that they were all welcome to Sun Ce's side and if they chose not to, they were free to go. Everyone of Liu Yao's remnant force surrendered to Sun Ce and Liu Yao's son even excelled under Sun Quan later on. Unlike what was depicted in the novel Romance of Three Kingdoms where it only took a day for Taishi Ci to return at the exact time, Taishi Ci actually told Sun Ce that it would take at most 60 days when he left, and he did return within the 60 day limit despite suspicions that he would defect

The second task assigned to Taishi Ci by Sun Ce was to perform a reconnaissance mission on Hua Xin, the Administrator of Yuzhang in the name of paying a visit. Taishi Ci returned and told Sun Ce that Hua Xin would not be able to defend his turf because the local people did not obey him, so Sun Ce marched his force to Yuzhang like Taishi Ci had suggested, and peacefully incorporated the region when Hua Xin surrendered

The third task was that Sun Ce named Taishi Ci as Jianchang Duwei, taking charge of six counties including Haihun and Jianchang to defend the local areas from attacks from Liu Pan, nephew of the Jing province governor Liu Biao. Taishi Ci had successfully checked the attacks of Liu Pan, and Liu Pan ceased to be a threat

After Sun Ce's death, Cao Cao felt that this was an opportunity and asked Taishi Ci to surrender. However, Taishi Ci refused. Taishi Ci later died of natural causes in 206 at the age of 41. His last words were: "A man in life should take a sword of seven feet, and rise to the rank of the son of heaven. Now my goals have not been realized, but yet I helplessly die!"

In the historical novel Romance of the Three Kingdoms, Taishi Ci is instead slain by one of Cao Cao's most feared and talented officers, Zhang Liao, during the Battle of Hefei. Although this event never actually occurred, the author of the novel, Luo Guanzhong, altered the deaths of several renowned "Three Kingdoms" generals whom he believed deserved a much more dramatic and courageous death

As for this model, it is modeled after a Dom. A truly anticipated model, it live up to its expectation. In fact, a layer of top coat is enough to make it look representable enough. Colouring wise, some extra work might be needed on the body area cause its like come in one colour. All and all, it is a very interesting model to build

NZ 666 HGUC Kshatriya

A green mobile suit fielded by Neo Zeon, it is very similar in appearance to the NZ-000 Quin Mantha, though much smaller. It is armed with a total of twelve megaparticle cannons, two beam sabers, and twenty-four funnels (six in each binder). The pattern on its arms led to the Neo Zeon remnants being called "The Sleeves". Its pilot's name is Marida Cruz. The Kshatriya was destroyed by the Unicorn Gundam when its NT-D System took control of the Kshatriya's funnels and used them against it. Armed with Scattering mega beam cannon (chest) x4, mega beam cannon (binder) x8

The Kshatriya which is long dued. Finally got the chance to blog about it. The colour, of course, is darker than the usual since its my usual style. Its a good model except its not so stable. Pretty normal for a HG its size. Its a nice model!

Christmas picture will be posted tonight!

MSM 04 Acguy

Following Zimmand Company's MSM-03 Gogg, the Zeonic Company produced their own amphibious mobile suit for the Principality of Zeon, the MSM-04 Acguy. Acguys used many of the same parts and components as the MS-06F Zaku II, including twin Zaku II F-Type Minovsky ultracompact fusion reactors. However, even with the twin reactors, the Acguy left only a trace heat signature, making it effective for stealth operations

The Acguy's weapons consisted of four 105 mm machine guns mounted in the head. In its right forearm was a mounted mega particle gun. The right forearm also had extendable claws (along with an extendable arm to increase striking distance) for striking the Earth Federation's mobile suits and property. In the left forearm was a mounted six-tube rocket launcher. Some models also had rockets in the right forearm, replacing the mega particle cannon and claws, and other models had machine guns in the forearms

The Acguy was a decent amphibious mobile suit, mostly due to its ability to sneak into bases undetected by enemy forces. Several MSM-04 Acguys sneaked into the Federation's Jaburo General Headquarters on November 30, U.C. 0079 on a covert mission to destroy the Federation's mobile-suit production facilities, which were being used to produce their RGM-79 GM mass-produced mobile suit

I've always love Acguy. It is this super cute mobile suit. It is easy to weather and customise. Most notably are those teddy bear or Doraemon like customisation. Me on the other hand like it as it is so all I did was mixing some colour and spray it

Nice as it is, it is not as flexible as I thought. The joints for one. When you move the the legs especially, it will rub against other parts of the body and it will be scratched. Therefore it is wise to weather those area to mask the damage. The it is also not so bendable. Like if you want to make it sit down as some do, there is a part in the back of the legs which must be remove first. Very troublesome if you think about it. The arms are stretchable but it will fall of easily

SD RX-79 [G] Gundam Ez8

As the One Year War continued to drag on, the Earth Federation Forces began to put the vast majority of their resources towards creating and maintaining the mass-produced GM line of mobile suits. This left many of the Federation's older units without the adequate supplies needed to undergo repairs and regular maintenance. This put more trouble to the RX-79[G] Gundam Ground Type since they were constructed primarily of spare parts left over from the RX-78 development project anyway. Due to such supply shortages, when 08th Mobile Suit Team pilot Ensign Shiro Amada's RX-79[G] Gundam Ground Type was all but destroyed during an ambush on the Zeon's prototype Apsalus II mobile armor, it had to be rebuilt from the ground up.
The resulting amalgama of spare parts was given the new model number RX-79[G]Ez8, code named the Gundam Ez8 (Ez8 standing for "Extra zero-8".

The Gundam Ez8, despite being constructed largely of spare parts, was actually capable of slightly higher performance then the RX-79[G] Gundam Ground Type. By removing the fixed weapons in the left side of the chest the Kojima Battalion engineers were able utilize the extra space to improve upon the engines and reactor, which gave the Gundam Ez8 higher generator output, better propulsion, greater thrust, and superior general performance. The Gundam Ez8's armor placement was also revised, giving it added protection around the cockpit block and chest, and around the ankles
To compensate for the removal of the chest-based vulcan and the multi-launcher, the Gundam Ez8 had a 12.7mm anti-personnel machine gun placed in the mecha's abdominal region, as well as twin 35mm machine guns mounted in the head. The Ez8 still retained the two beam sabers stored in the compartments in the sides of the legs, and was still capable of using all of the armaments its predecessor could, although Shiro heavily favored the 100mm machine gun. The traditional Gundam "V-fin" communications array that was mounted on the forehead was also done away with, opting instead to replace it with a more durable rabbit-ear communications antenna on the right side of its head. The Gundam Ez8's backpack design was unchanged, which still allowed it to mount mission packs and field equipment options
Shiro Amada's Gundam Ez8 would continue to see service in the South-eastern Asian theatre during the One Year War, until it was destroyed during the battle to overtake Zeon's mountain facility where the completed Apsalus III was about to emerge.

Cute as it is, again it is an old suit. This is even more simple than the Kampfer earlier where it takes only 4 steps to assemble. Simple and easy to fix, it also does not need much colouring. Just some top coat, or maybe a little weathering will make it perfect

SD MS 18E Kampfer

The MS-18 Kämpfer was a prototype mobile suit created by the Principality of Zeon in the anime series Mobile Suit Gundam 0080: War in the Pocket, designed by Yutaka Izubuchi. For the figure Zeonography, it is redesigned by Katoki Hajime.

In the few remaining days and weeks before the end of the One Year War, the Principality of Zeon churned out several new prototype mobile suits. One of these new units was known only as the YMS-18 Prototype Kämpfer, which Zeon engineers quickly began producing different variations and redesigns to create custom units meant to excel in specific mission roles. One of the variations created was the MS-18E Kämpfer ("Kämpfer" being the German word for "fighter")

The "E" in the MS-18E Kämpfer's model number was an abbreviation for the German word "einhauen," which translates to "one strike." "One strike" summed up the Kämpfers role in combat as a fast assault unit. It was meant to strike quickly, cause massive damage with its varied weapons loadout, and make a fast escape. The Kämpfer was a very focused design, never intended to work outside of its created role. Within this role it was an exceptional unit, rivaling the Federation RX series in firepower and speed. The unit was covered with thrusters and verniers to give it high maneuverability. Conversely, the large number of thrusters resulted in a high fuel consumption rate, limiting it to only being operable for short periods of time.

Its designers chose only minimal armor plating, even removing the hip mounted skirt armor found on most mobile suits entirely from the design. The choice of conventional explosives and weapon systems in favour of beam weapons was made to reduce the drain on its powerplant and resultant drop in speed. Weapons racks were designed to be ejected from the unit as they were expended, minimizing dead weight. The unit was intended to be operated by special forces, built to be easily disassembled and reassembled in blocks. This was to aid in its insertion and activation behind enemy lines.

This is a very old SD. It was introduced first in 1999 which is way long before I start Gunpla modelling. But I do remember having one which I must shar with my sisyer when I was like.... Standard 4? So it really bring back some nostalgic memories. The old one was long gone though. This one, I just bought it recently! Its not easy to find. They reproduce some but its limited

Of course the old suit is easy to assemble even comparing to the SD Sangokuden. This for example only requires like 6 steps. Lots of colouring work is necessary of course. It also comes with the Armor set. But I don't like the armors every much. The armor meka it look like EMS 10 Zudah.

Its a nice SD really. I must show it to my sis. Old childhood toy. And I've always been a huge fan of Kampfer!

MS-07B-M Gouf

This is the ordinary Gouf version 1

This is on the other hand is Gouf: Principality of Zeon Close Combat Mobile Suit: Michelle Customize. Why is it so? Because this model is given to me by my girl (:

Its customised using a bright colour scheme in the form of Camel Yellow. Chelle loves brighter colours. Pink is a bit too much. Yellow is ok (: And its added with a touch of brown shading so it will have some of my feel also

Its a very good model. Stable and easy to make. Hpwever to colour this suit one will need to use surfacer. Reason is because the texture is very slippery and smooth. Plus its a very dark colour so spraying colour straight on might not work. The colour will either change or it won't stick at all

A defect I made is in regard to the seam lines on the shoulder. Well, I don't have cement with me. So I'll work that out some other time :P

I love this model very very much. I've always wanted this as its not exactly easy to find. And its even harder for honey to find cause her model knowledge is zero and she does not pay much attention when I'm giving lecture on it. So finding this make me appreciate it even more than any other models I ever have. In my eyes, this is the nicest model I ever made (:

Kenshin Uesugi @ The Dragon of Echigo

I've put up extra pictures for this model, and I review it first before coming with the story. The reason is simple. Because Kenshin is my favourite character in the Japanese Sengoku period. And despite the inflexibility is the same or worse than the Shingen Takeda's model (Kenshin's body and waise is one piece, horse is one piece, hands are one piece), it is actually a much prettier model.

Somehow it is really nice and majestic, which make it look exactly like the daimyo himself. Nevertheless, it is really stiff. If one think that this model is really worth it because it comes with an extra horse, he's going to be disappointed. The horse is nothing more than a statue and not really worth mentioning. As for Kenshin, expect movements only for the head, and up-down for the hands

Colouring is a very important element for this model

Born the fourth son of the noted warrior Nagao Tamekage, Kenshin's early life presents a unique story. His father had gained some renown as a warlord through his military victories over Uesugi Sadanori and Uesugi Funayoshi. However, in later years, Tamekage found himself at odds with the neighboring Ikkō-ikki of Hokuriku, and as the political power in the region started to shift in favor of the Ikkō (due largely to the sudden rise of the Honganji), the situation for Echigo quickly deteriorated. It came to a peak in 1536, when Kenshin's father gathered up an army and marched westward, his aim uncertain. However, upon arriving at Sendanno in Etchu, his forces were suddenly attacked by Enami Kazuyori, and in the resulting battle Tamekage himself was slain, and his army put to flight.

The impact back at Echigo was immediate. Nagao Harukage, Tamekage's eldest son, immediately made his bid for control of the Nagao, and succeeded in this claim after a power struggle which resulted in the death of one of his brothers, Kageyasu. Kagetora (Kenshin) was removed from the conflict and relocated to Rizen temple, where he spent his life from 7 to 14 dedicated to study

At the age of fourteen, Kenshin was suddenly contacted by Usami Sadamitsu and a number of other acquaintances of his late father. They urged the young Nagao son to go to Echigo and contest his older brother's rule. It would seem that Harukage hadn't proven the most effective or inspiring leader, and his failure to exert control over the powerful kokujin families had resulted in a situation which was nearly to the point of tearing the province apart.

As the story is told, at first Kenshin was reluctant to take the field against his own brother, but was eventually convinced that it was necessary to the survival of Echigo. In a series of engagements led by himself and Usami Sadamitsu, Kenshin succeeded in wresting control of the clan from Harukage in 1547. Harukage's own fate is uncertain, as some sources claim he was allowed to live, but others record his forced suicide

What followed was the beginning of a rivalry which became legendary. In the first conflict between the two, both Uesugi Kenshin and Takeda Shingen were very cautious, only committing themselves to indecisive skirmishes. Over the years, there would eventually be a total number of five such engagements at the famous site of Kawanakajima, though only the fourth would prove to be a serious, all-out battle between the two.

In 1561, Kenshin and Shingen fought the biggest battle they would fight, the fourth battle of Kawanakajima. Kenshin used an ingenious tactic: a special formation where the soldiers in the front would switch with their comrades in the rear, as those in the frontline became tired or wounded. This allowed the tired soldiers to take a break, while the soldiers who had not seen action would fight on the frontlines. This was extremely effective and because of this Kenshin nearly defeated Shingen. In this battle is the tale of Kenshin riding up to Shingen and slashing at him with his sword. Shingen fended off the blows with his iron war fan or tessen. However, Kenshin failed to finish Shingen off. A Takeda retainer drove him away, and Shingen made a counter-attack. The Uesugi army retreated and many drowned in a nearby river while others were cut down by Takeda's generals.

The result of the fourth battle of Kawanakajima is still uncertain. Many scholars are divided on who the actual victor was, if the battle was actually decisive enough to even declare one. Kenshin lost 3000 of his army while Shingen lost around 4000, but Shingen also lost two of his most important generals during the battle, namely his advisor Yamamoto Kansuke and younger brother Takeda Nobushige.

Although Shingen and Kenshin were rivals for more than fourteen years, they are known to have exchanged gifts a number of times, most famously when Shingen gave away a precious sword, which he valued greatly, to Kenshin. Shingen died in 1573, and Kenshin was said to have wept aloud at the loss of so worthy an adversary, and reportedly vowed to never attack Takeda lands. The two sides became allies in 3 years]. In addition, there was an incident when a number of other daimyo (including the Hōjō clan) boycotted salt supplies to Kai province. Kenshin heard of Shingen's problem with a daimyo of the Hōjō clan who refused to send rice to him. Kenshin secretly sent salt to the Takeda (salt was a precious commodity as it was used in preserving food) and wrote to his enemy, Shingen, that in his opinion, the Hōjō lord had committed a hostile act. Although he could have cut off Shingen's supplies and "lifeline", Kenshin decided not to do so because it would be dishonorable. In reflection, Kenshin made a statement "Wars are to be won with swords and spears, not with rice and salt." In this, Kenshin set a noble example for all time in his treatment of his rival Shingen. The statement is a common modern reference by peace advocates who in recognition of Kenshin state that "peace is to be achieved with rice and salt, not with swords and spears".

Starting in the year 1576, Kenshin began to consider the issue of Oda Nobunaga, who had since grown to be Japan's most powerful warlord of the time. With both Takeda Shingen and Hōjō Ujiyasu dead, Kenshin was no longer blocked off from this realm of expansion. So, when the death of a Noto lord in the area sparked up confusion and conflict, Kenshin was quick to use the opportunity, taking land from the weakened clan which put him in a position to threaten Nobunaga and his allies. In response, Nobunaga pulled together his own forces and those of his two best generals; Shibata Katsuie and Maeda Toshiie to meet Kenshin at Tedorigawa. The experienced Shibata Katsuie who served Nobunaga since the beginning, was sent forth to test Kenshin's famed battle reputation. According to some accounts, Shibata led 18,000 men into battle first, and Nobunaga himself followed up with 20,000 reinforcements. If this information is accurate, it would make the battle between the two one of the largest fought in the Sengoku period.

Despite Nobunaga's overwhelming numbers, Kenshin managed to score a solid victory on the field. At first, Kenshin refused to engage the Nobunaga army until a heavy rainfall which neutralized Nobunaga's infantry units. Forced to make a hasty retreat, Shibata regrouped with Nobunaga's main force. Next Kenshin took a page from his old rival Takeda Shingen; he pretended to send forth a small unit to attack Nobunaga's main force from behind and gave his enemy a great opportunity to crush his remaining force. Nobunaga took the bait. Nobunaga's force attacked at night expecting a weakened opponent; instead Kenshin's full military might was waiting. After losing almost a quarter of his force, Nobunaga pulled back to Ōmi Province while Kenshin contented himself with building a few forts in Kaga Province before returning back to Echigo province. In the winter of 1577-1578, Uesugi Kenshin arranged to put forth a grand army to continue his assaults into Nobunaga's land. However, he was reported to be in horrid health during this time, and on April 9 he suffered a type of seizure while using the lavatory. He died four days later.

His death poem was 「四十九年一睡の夢 一期の栄華一盃の酒」。"Forty Nine Years; One night's dream. A lifetime of prosperity; a cup of sake." (These 49 years of my life have passed like one night's dream. My life has been full of glory and prosperity, like a single cup filled with sake.)

MS 14A Gelgoog

Principality of Zeon Mass Productive Mobile Suit. MG I just made. Using simple washing technique and some pla plates. Its a very good model. Even for beginner as its comprised of many big parts. Handling it is also not that troublesome. If I were to compare with the Exia which I just made. Meanwhile, its cheap too. Got it for only RM 120.00. Very nice to play with, because its stable and really flexible. The only catch could be the decals. The decals are big, which make it slightly more difficult to control

Shingen Takeda @ Musha Gundam

Takeda Shingen was the first born son of Takeda Nobutora, leader of the Takeda clan, and daimyo of the province of Kai. He had been an accomplished poet in his youth. He assisted his father with the older relatives and vassals of the Takeda family, and became quite a valuable addition to the clan at a fairly young age. But at some point in his life after his "coming of age" ceremony, the young man decided to rebel against his father.

He finally succeeded at the age of 21, successfully taking control of the clan. Events regarding this change of leadership are not entirely clear, but it is thought that his father had planned to name the second son, Takeda Nobushige, as his heir instead of Shingen. The end result for the father was a miserable retirement that was forced upon him by his son and his supporters: he was sent to Suruga Province (on the southern border of Kai) to be kept in custody under the scrutiny of the Imagawa clan, led by Imagawa Yoshimoto, the daimyo of Suruga. For their help in this bloodless coup, an alliance was formed between the Imagawa and the Takeda clans.

Shingen's first act was to gain a hold of the area around him. His goal was to conquer Shinano Province. A number of the major daimyos in the Shinano region marched on the border of Kai Province, hoping to neutralize the power of the still-young Shingen before he had a chance to expand into their lands. However, planning to beat him down at Fuchu (where word had it Shingen was gathering his forces for a stand), they were unprepared when Takeda forces suddenly came down upon them at the battle of Sezawa. Taking advantage of their confusion, Shingen was able to score a quick victory, which set the stage for his drive into Shinano lands that same year. The young warlord made considerable advances into the region, conquering the Suwa headquarters in the siege of Kuwabara before moving into central Shinano with the defeat of both Tozawa Yorichika and Takato Yoritsugu. However, the warlord was checked at Uetahara by Murakami Yoshikiyo, losing two of his generals in a heated battle which Murakami won. Shingen managed to avenge this loss and the Murakami clan was eventually defeated. Murakami fled the region, eventually coming to plead for help from the Province of Echigo.

Battle of Kawanakajima in 1561

After he had conquered Shinano, Shingen faced another rival, Nagao Kagetora or later Uesugi Masatora/Terutora /Kenshin of Echigo. The feud between them became almost legendary, and they faced each other on the battlefield five times at the battles of Kawanakajima. These battles were generally confined to controlled skirmishes, neither daimyo willing to devote himself entirely to a single all-out attempt. The conflict between the two that had the fiercest fighting, and might have decided victory or defeat for one side or the other, was the fourth battle, during which the famous tale arose of Uesugi Kenshin's forces clearing a path through the Takeda troops and Kenshin engaging Shingen in single combat. The tale has Kenshin attacking Shingen with his sword while Shingen defends with his iron war fan or tessen. Both lords lost many men in this fight, and Shingen in particular lost two of his main generals, Yamamoto Kansuke and his younger brother Takeda Nobushige.

This model suck. Thats all I can say. The parts are loose but its still hard to move any joints. Don't buy any of this series if can. Because of this my Kenshin Uesugi is still stuck on my shelf. And you need serious work with the colour as well.

MSM 07 Z'gok

Principality of Zeon's mass productive amphibious mobile suit. First deployed alongside with other amphibious mobile suits such as Acguy and Gogg in the Operation Capture of Jaburo.

In the fictional Mobile Suit Gundam metaverse, Jaburo is the headquarters of the Earth Federal Forces during the One Year War and the years after. It is a massive underground complex in the heart of Brazil, which according to Tomino, is roughly the size that Tokyo was in 1979, when the first Gundam series was created. Because of its subterranean location, Jaburo is impervious to conventional assault. Jaburo's exact location is also a strict Earth Federation secret, much like modern day Area 51.

Jaburo's cavernous reaches holds a megacity itself, along with housing factories, spaceships docks, and many other types of facilities. The Federations early Mobile Suit factories are located in Jaburo, which during One Year War produced hundreds upon hundreds if not thousands of mobile suits, including several Gundams.

Jaburo had often been a target for the Zeon Military; however due to its unusual location, a frontal assault proved difficult. In the early weeks of the One Year War the Zeon began Operation British, attempting a space colony drop on Brazil in an attempt to destroy Jaburo. The attempt failed as the colony broke up over the Pacific Ocean and landed in Australia. After the failure of Operation British the Zeon realized the only way to take out Jaburo, was a frontal assault. Prior to Char Aznable's preemptive strike, the Zeon had been working on an attack strategy, using multiple battalions of Mobile Suits and a super powerful Mobile Armor being designed in East Asia by Zeon scientist Ginias Sahalin. However, before these plans could be implemented, the war was turning in Federation favor, and the Mobile Armor project suffered major setbacks, such as the creator going insane and killing the Apsalus Project team and taking the Mobile Armor for himself as seen in Mobile Suit Gundam: The 08th MS Team. The other major flaw of the strategy, was the fact that the Zeon ground forces could not confirm Jaburo's exact location.

A stealth attack, however was led by Char Aznable and his forces on November 30, U.C. 0079, after he had traced the White Base to Jaburo. The assault proved devastating for the Zeon forces, who had little time to prepare, and no reinforcements. The Battle of Jaburo was extremely one sided as the Federation had just rolled out several new Gundams including the infamous RX-78-6 Gundam Mudrock, along with several battalions of RGM-79 GMs. The White Base and its famous RX-78-2 Gundam were also present and fought a major battle with Char Aznable, which resulted in Char Aznable retreating and Zeon losing the battle. The Zeon ground attack force was composed mostly of Zakus, Goufs, and Doms. The Zeonic Naval forces included Z'Goks, Goggs, and a Zock and was led by Char Aznable.

I'm a big fan of mobile suits, but I'm a bigger fan for Zeon mobile suits. I've always wanted one of this. Its a pretty old mobile suit so most places are out of stock. The only place left selling in that Game Hobby shop near Sushi King. Its been there for a long time. I didn't buy it because it costs RM 157.00 which is very very ridiculous.

But I still buy it nonetheless. That day when I went, I saw the boss for the first time and he's someone I know. He's also the boss of Micky Trading. I took the chance to tell him his stuffs are overprice. He was shocked. Lol. So I'm doing him a very nice favour by telling him the correct pricing for all. Of course I told him I'm interested in the Z'gok (which is overprice) too. Lol. And guess what? He actually ask me to name my price. So I did. Got it for only RM 109.00 instead

Lol. No need reviewing on this model I guess. Simple and cute. Thats all. Oh ya, just the colour of the forearm and leg. The colour is some dark blue which sucks a lot. I changed the colour

Bagging the Doubles

Below are pictures of my entries for the two competitions ie: Gundam Comp and Gundam DIY. I won both buy I'm not satisfied or too happy with this win. Why? I won't be revealling here. However, I'll upload the pictures, expecially for people like May and Sheel who says will drop by after concert but didn't -_-

I'm pretty broke, so I din't buy a new model. This Zaku II had been completed a long time ago. Well, everyone will have seen it when they view my blog. Its on the profile picture. Most who are willing to listen to my rants on Gundam will know my favourite are Zakus. But most don't know my favourite among the Zakus is this Shin Matsunaga's Zaku II. The colour and design is just unique. Plus with the purchase of Gundam Exia, its hard to find any extra funds

So i just use some scrap materials and build a base for it. Cannons, trees, hut and all. They're all made from scrap materials. There are still lots of improvement I believe and many of the modellers I know think so too. Especially in terms of consistency of weathering and positioning of the model. Usually I just use this standard stand straight pose. My placing of things in my diorama is also another big problem. Its what they call the "diorama fails to tell a story"

All the models on that day for DIY is Zhang He, which is the first set back because its my least favourite Three Kingdon SD. I've built all the SDs to date. We can't spray and the time limit is only 3 hours (I need 8 hours), I must built one that is ok looking without much work. So I was thinking of Zhang Liao. But since all were Zhang He, I simply got no choice.

Plus it already started for half an hour and I don't know it had started! So 1/2 an hour gone. Its kind of a rush actually. I personally think its the worst SD I made so far
