Typical

In this place, the dinner style is in fact very typical. Its usuall either these dishes or if not, those dishes. Its always those few types.

The main course will usually be xiao long bao. Literally translate, it would be little dragon bun. Its hot. So usually, people will let it cool a little and you notice the hole on it? Yep, you'll the gravy from that hole. Then you finsh it all in one mouthful. They will usually opt for this bun rather than rice. They also have a particular behaviour of serving the main course last. All other dishes will be serve first and lastly the main course. The principle is that they want the customers to feel full. Because in their opinion, if main course is serve first, one might be too full to taste the rest of the dishes.

Kong Poh Eel. Also a Shanghai delicacy. Its really good

Beef striploin in black pepper sauce. I'm actually surprise that the chinese can prepare beefs that might actually be better than the westerners' style. Well, at least I'm comparing to the western food in M'sia and not really the west. Its tender and never once stiff or hard. I had beef everyday here (:

Roasted Piglet (:

As for this dish, we sidetrack a little bit. Its not actually a Shanghai delicacy. In fact, its a Sichuan delicacy. Tofu in Chilli. Not really spicy. You won't drop tears from it angel. Its so popular that is got adopted by the Shanghai people. Its good too (:
